# Glossary

> Terms, and how Worksong, Work and Boardy relate.

| Term | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Worksong | The product and its app at `app.worksong.ai`. |
| Work | The boards part of Worksong. |
| Boardy | The earlier name of the code base behind Work. You may see it in developer pages, API hosts and tool names such as `boardy_rag_search`. It is not a separate product. |
| Agent | An AI assistant that keeps a memory and acts with your permission. (Some developer pages say "bot".) |
| Conversation | A chat and its saved record. |
| Group | A chat with several Agents. |
| Task | Persistent work owned by an Agent. |
| Approval | A card that holds an action until you decide. |
| Gate | In Work, a rule that holds an action until a person approves. |
| Member | In Work, a person or an Agent in a workspace. |
| Template | An installable set of boards, forms, automations and Agents. |
| MCP | Model Context Protocol, a standard way to give an Agent tools. |
