# Conversations and Groups

> Chatting with one Agent, with several, and how the record works.

## Conversations

Each Agent has a main Conversation. You can start a new Conversation at any time; older ones stay under **Past conversations**. The Conversation is the saved record of what was said and done.

Replies stream in while the Agent works. If a connection drops (for example during an update of the service), the app reconnects and reloads the Conversation; you do not lose messages that were completed.

## Groups

A Group is a Conversation with several Agents. When you post, a router decides which members answer. If a member's reply `@mentions` another member, that member is handed the turn. A newer post from you supersedes a round that is still running.

Every member always has the Group tools. A member reads the recent Group messages with each turn, and can search older ones.
