Contacts is your own address book: names, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, email addresses and postal addresses. When you say “send this to Dana”, an Agent looks Dana up here. It does not guess a number from an old chat. Contacts belong to you, not to one Agent. Every Agent you own can search them.

Open Contacts

  • Phone: Profile tab, then Contacts.
  • Desktop browser: Contacts in the left rail.
The newest contact is first. Use the search icon to find a person by name, relationship, title, email or number, and the chips (All, WhatsApp, Phone, Email) to keep only people you can reach that way.

Add or edit a contact

  1. Tap + (New contact).
  2. Add a name.
  3. Add at least one way to reach the person: phone, WhatsApp or email. A contact with none is refused.
  4. Optionally add a title, relationship (for example “colleague”), birthday and postal addresses.
  5. Tap Add contact. When you edit an existing contact, the button says Save changes.
Good to know:
  • If WhatsApp is the same number as the phone, turn on WhatsApp is the same as phone.
  • You can save up to 10 addresses per contact. Each needs at least a street, second line, city, postal code or PO box. A label or a country alone is not enough.
  • Address search suggests places as you type. If it is not available, you type the address by hand.
  • A phone number or WhatsApp number can belong to only one contact. Adding it again shows an error.
  • Leaving the editor with unsaved changes asks Discard changes?.

Delete a contact

Open the contact, tap More, then Delete contact. Deleting cannot be undone.

How Agents use Contacts

  • “Send to me”. For a WhatsApp message to yourself, the Agent uses the contact whose email matches your sign-in email. Create that contact and give it a WhatsApp number or phone number, or the Agent will say what is missing. It never uses the number the WhatsApp bridge is linked to.
  • Who wrote to you. When someone messages an Agent on WhatsApp, the sender counts as a known person only if the number matches one of your contacts. A name alone is never matched.
  • Search and read. Agents can search contacts and read one in full without asking you.
  • Notes and details. Agents can add or change name, title, relationship, birthday and addresses without asking you.
  • Phone, WhatsApp and email changes always ask. Setting or clearing one of those raises an approval card with the contact and the exact value, every time. There is no “Always allow” for it. If you deny the card, nothing changes.
A contact is private to your account. Another account cannot see it.
